Once they’d got over their initial attack of fairy tattoo, the guys and guyesses seemed to quite enjoy posing. Dale was taken by surprise she said she’d never seen so many tattoos in one place. I think you’ll agree that the results are certainly very successful.

It’s about time tattooists’ work receives the credit it deserves and what better than to be hung in a gallery as artwork in it’s own right. What interested Dale was seeing a lot of work done by one individual artist, and seeing that individual style assert itself on the living canvas.

In this way, they are incredibly successful. Instead of bright colour distracting the eye, the photo concentrates more on the person and personality than merely just the tattoo thus being more of is was wonderful to see tattooed people given the gallery treatment hanging there in all their glory for the world to see well some of it anyway.

Interestingly, the photographs in the exhibition were in monochrome (black & white), and not in colour, as maybe you’d expect. Dale believes that black & white has an edge and power that is not possible with colour.
