TAM: Who made your tattoos?
H: My masters’ son. and one of his apprentices. I “lend” them my body to practice. although one of them left the profession later on When I got my head tattooed I spent quite a long time with my head shaved, but then I had some awful experiences when takíng off my hat in some houses, and I let my hair grow again.

I have a new project, an illustration book of cut heads. I want to do fifty heads, all different, which is a bit complicated. To forcé myself to do it I am telling it to people. as to you. so I am ver-bally committmg myself, that way sure I will do it.

Oriental tattoos

It was a way of forcing myself to do it. As soon as he support-ed to project I threw myself into it and that very week I had made four more. After I made a book based on the history of China, “The 108 héroes of Suikoden”. I made all the drawings and I worked hard on the text.

H: I opened in August 1999, but I was collecting since quite long ago. Almost all my life.

Japanese tattoo artists

TAM: Do you think it is possible for you to come to Spain? H: Two or three years ago I was supposed to go to Barcelone. However, a friend of mine who is a clairvoyant recommended me not to go, because if I did my family was going to be in trouble. I took notice of him, because he never fails his predictions.

TAM: What’s your opinion on western tattoo? H: It’s not my style, but I respect it. People in Europe now get interested on Japanese style. That’s very positive. I think that if Japanese style is combined with European style good things might come out.
